Sources & methodology

For meaningful claims, an article should make it possible for readers to understand where the information came from and how calculations were made.

Preferred source hierarchy

  1. Exchange filings and official regulatory disclosures.
  2. Company annual reports, results releases, investor presentations and earnings-call transcripts.
  3. Government and regulator datasets, with publication date and units noted.
  4. Reputable secondary reporting for context, clearly attributed.

Calculations

Explain material formulas, comparison periods, rounding and assumptions. For valuation work, state key inputs and sensitivity where relevant. Never imply that a model output is a guaranteed outcome.

Data rights

Use only data and images that may lawfully be republished or linked under their applicable terms. Do not assume that public availability means unrestricted reuse.

Template page: add the actual source policy, permitted data sources and article-specific citations before publication.
